Shanxi governor meets Brazilian delegation

On Dec 6, Li Xiaopeng, governor of North China's Shanxi province, met with a Brazilian minister delegation led by the minister of Brazil's Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. These delegates came to Shanxi for the CBERS (China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite)-4, which was jointly developed with Brazil and launched on Sunday from the Taiyuan base by Long-March-4B rocket.

Xu Dazhe, vice-minister of China's Industry and Information Technology Ministry and head of the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense; Zhang Kunsheng, assistant minister of the Foreign Affairs Ministry; and the vice-governors of Shanxi, Fu Jianhua and Wang Yixin, were on hand at the meeting.

On behalf the Shanxi CPC Committee and provincial government, Li Xiaopeng extended a warm welcome to the delegation's visit to Shanxi. Li introduced the province and its recent social and economic development to the delegates.

China and Brazil enjoy wide common interest. Brazil will implement a series of cooperation agreements that have been reached between the two countries to promote cooperation and exchange in multiple fields, like aviation and aerospace, technological innovation and modern agriculture. It will utilize this visit as an opportunity to accelerate practical cooperation with Shanxi, according to the delegates of Brazil.
