Preserving culture and nature in Pingyao county

Cao Zhisheng, the head of Pingyao county, Shanxi province, did some field research of protection the local heritage and the areas forest, on Nov 18,in the company of the vice-head, Hu Jinliang and other officials by paying a visit to the local Wenfeng, Yongshou, and Baifu temples to see how their preservation work is progressing and tourism efforts development. Cao emphasized the need for transportation and infrastructure improvements at the historical sites, then went on to examine fire prevention work in local forests, where he emphasized the importance not just of emergency operations and patrols, but also of raising public awareness of the need for fire prevention and stopping any risky behavior.
