Pingyao supporting traditional Chinese medicine

The Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, in Pingyao county, Shanxi province, asked Cao Yuxia, a provincial Chinese medical care expert to give a talk to local medical care givers, on the traditional Chinese approaches to health care, especially in winter, on Nov 9.

Cao, who is head of the Acupuncture and Moxibustion Research Institute, explained key techniques in the two areas and gave some tips on health care in winter, ranging from daily life, to living conditions, to exercise, and described some clinical cases.

The provincial institute has held 26 sessions on traditional Chinese medicine over the past two years, to help local medical care givers improve their knowledge of theory and practice and their professional skills. The lectures are largely meant to promote traditional Chinese medicine as a major industry.
