Pear blossoms get Pingyao village on the most beautiful list

This year's list of China's "Most beautiful villages" has just come out, the village of Xiangyuan, in Pingyao county, Shanxi province, made it, thanks to its stunning pear blossoms.

The list is compiled by the Ministry of Agriculture to promote ecological improvements in rural areas and involves a systematic selection process, and the winners provide more than 100 splendid agricultural sites.
