Pingyao joins the Top 100 in its tourism products

When Shanxi province's Top 100 'Recreational and Tourism Product' list was announced, on Oct 25, the city of Jinzhong had 23 on it, making it first in the province, thanks in no small part to Pingyao county, where it is located and which has World Cultural Heritage sites near the city.

The provincial list includes the Top 10 hotels, and Jinzhong contains the Honghai Glass Art Industrial Park, two old towns, four old lanes, one leisure spot, three folk inns, two sites from the War of Liberation, three forest parks, four traditional foods, three recreational sites, an experiential play the 'Ancient PIngyao Once More', and geographic parks,.

The annual Top 100 list is an important indicator of provincial tourism development, so this new list is a sign of how much Pingyao has advanced in tourism services.
