Mount Wutai works to purify tourism market

The people's government of Mount Wutai scenic spot, in Shanxi province, unveiled a long-term operation mechanism and supervision mechanism on Oct 19th, in order to completely deal with the illegal activities within the tourism market.

The long-term operation mechanism and supervision mechanism will be carried out by building Mount Wutai into a "world famous and top-class" scenic spot. Under the supervision and guidance of related departments, the scenic spot will earnestly implement the Tourism Law, constantly launching comprehensive regulations to standardize the tourism market, and place emphasis on the management of the illegal activities such as non-religious activity, fake monks and nuns, unlicensed tour guides and unlicensed taxis. The goal is to establish Mount Wutai as an internationally well-known travel destination with advanced administration, quality service and high tourist satisfaction.
