Young artists paint the Pingyao landscape

Some design and animation majors from Chongqing Normal University, in the mega-city of Chongqing, Sichuan province, made the journey to Pingyao county, Shanxi province, on Oct 9, to begin a 10-day jaunt through the surrounding landscape to do some sketches.

The art tour was organized by the Flower Tourist agency, to let the students expand their vision, get some artistic inspirations, practice their skills, and enrich their aesthetic sense.

Pingyao is full of buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties and has gotten plenty of acclaim from young artists who can wander down the old lanes, get a close-up look at local people's lives, and scour around for artistic inspiration.
