Shanxi holds traditional wedding for Chinese couples from all over

The county of Pingyao, Shanxi province, held a traditional wedding ceremony for 10 couples from the city of Beijing and Fujian, Shandong, Shaanxi, Jiangsu and Shanxi provinces, during the National Day holiday. Pingyao is famous for its Shanxi merchant culture, which dates back to the Ming and Qing dynasties and is a World Cultural Heritage site, so it attract couples from all over who come to get a feel of a real Shanxi-style merchant wedding, with the help of the International Shanxi Cultural Tourism Committee.
