Top-grade air-conditioned buses start operation in Pingyao

The launching of 10 air-conditioned buses shuttling between the Pingyao bus station and the high-speed rail station of Pingyao was held on Aug 20.

Ten brand new top-grade air-conditioned buses stopped in a line at one side of the square in front of the Pingyao bus station. The buses are spacious and comfortable, with advanced facilities. After a short ceremony, the new air-conditioned buses pulled out of the square and were officially put into operation. About half an hour later, the first air-conditioned bus arrived at the square in front of the high-speed rail station of Pingyao. The new buses cut down the time to reach the high-speed rail station from the bus station to half an hour. They also cut off the whole course along the total 18 stops to 65 minutes. The buses start at 7 am, departing at an interval of 13 minutes, and stop after the last bus pulls out at 8:52 pm.

The operation of the top-grade air-conditioned buses not only provides a more comfortable travel environment for citizens and tourists, but also substantially promotes the city image of Pingyao.
