Shanxi electronic information industry looking for new opportunities

Shanxi province has had a seminar on its electronic information sector and the opportunities that are emerging, and has reported sales from the sector of 39.98 billion yuan, for the the Jan-Oct period of 2013, a year-on-year increase of 30.3 percent, or more than 10 percent points above the national average of 11.2 percent. Added-value for the sector was 16.34 billion yuan, an increase of 48.8 percent year-on-year.

There were suggestions put forth at the seminar on developing the electronic information industry, for example, by establishing a management department, a development roadmap, policies that support private electronic information businesses, and bringing the government and its financing into the mix.
