Taiyuan Loving Family activity for donation drive

There was a ceremony to celebrate the results of a Loving Family charity drive at Yangfan Kindergarten, in the city of Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi province, on Dec 21, with a group of Taiyuan Yangfan volunteers taking part.

The volunteers had collected 36,000 yuan ($5930) in donations to help 60 children from low income families and gave the children special gifts and words of encouragement to build self-confidence and support.

The Pingyao Women’s Federation, the campaign sponsor, also invited the children to have a tour of the Shanxi Science and Technology Museum and Shanxi Library afterwards.

The Yangfan volunteer effort is the idea of the Shengtaiji Educational Institute, Hongtai Electrical Co, and Zhiren Printing Co and dedicates itself to helping the needy and supporting charitable efforts in the region and has provided a considerable amount of help for Pingyao county’s needy children every year.
