Pingyao dealing with illegal medical practices
Updated:2013-10-22 16:45( chinadaily.com.cn)
Pingyao county, in China’s Shanxi province, says it will crack down on illegal medical practices and monitor the medical services sector better to ensure safe healthcare for everyone, according to participants at an Oct 20 meeting.
The crack-down mainly targets unlicensed practitioners; medical or maternity care providers renting out their facilities, hiring untrained technicians, providing medical care without proper registration, fetal gender tests that are unnecessary, sex-selective abortions, hospital scalpers, and county doctors practicing medicine at home or at places other than clinics.
