Jinzhong delegation investigates Pingyao

Delegates from the city of Jinzhong, Shanxi province, visited Pingyao county on Oct 18 to investigate the extent Pingyao has finished its yearly plan.

Guo Wusheng, head of the county, reported the economic and social development situation in the past three quarters of 2013. Despite the sluggish economy, Pingyao has seen growth in seven of its economic indicators (excluding fiscal revenues), which has helped it maintain stable growth.

This year, the county has given priority to project construction, restructuring, reform and civil affairs.

The delegates praised Pingyao’s development and suggested that the county make good use of the remaining year to reach its annual target. It should focus on industrial transformation, infrastructure and people’s livelihood.
