To advance the development of photography in Macao, the Macao Pavilion, organized by the Macao Museum of Art, opened on Sept 18 at the 13th Pingyao International Photography Festival, Sept 19 - 25 in the old city of Pingyao, Shanxi province, with the theme of "Life in Macao".
There are 66 works on display from four Macao photographers: Wong Ho Sang, Chan Hin Io, Wong Chon Kit and Ieong Man Pan. Three of them are local artists while the other moved to Macao in 1990.
The exhibition depicts Macao's development as an immigrant city and details of everyday life. By displaying the constantly changing life of Macao people and their struggle for more, photographers aim to share their experiences as Macao residents and to present a realistic vision of Macao.
