Shanxi cultural industry expo opens in Taiyuan

The curtain went up on Shanxi province’s first Culture Industry Expo, in Taiyuan, the provincial capital, on Saturday, with more than 1,000 companies from various countries, 13 mainland provinces and cities, and Taiwan taking part with thousands of culture products on display.

The five-day exposition is an outlet for the cultural resources of Shanxi, and has five categories covering reforms and developments in the culture industry, culture and related industries, cultural heritage, works of art, and industrial art.

This cultural event is intended to encourage the participation of ordinary people with some colorful interactive activities. Tickets cost 20 yuan ($3.26), and are available at three outlets in Taiyuan.
