Pingyao civil officers receive training in Beijing

The third group of civil officers from Pingyao county, Shanxi province, went to Beijing to receive training on city construction and tourism on June 3.

A class-opening ceremony was held at the Beijing Vocational College of Agriculture. It was attended by Lei Xinping, the college’s deputy Party secretary, and Pingyao leaders, including Lei Xinping, Liu Guohong, Cao Qingping, Hao Jianxin and Wang Zhaoyun.

The training program aims at improving innovative abilities. It serves as another round of special training after training on modern agriculture and industry transformation.

Lei Xinping, Pingyao’s deputy Party secretary, asked all the officials to appreciate the opportunity to promote Pingyao’s tourist and cultural undertakings.

After the opening ceremony, Peng Jian, a professor from the Communication University of China, gave a lecture on how to build cultural and tourist brands. He talked about tourism brand value and elements and the distinction between image and brand by explaining the difference between Beckham and “Brother Sharp”. The lecture discussed tourism’s development demands and inspired listeners to think about the future of tourism.
