Updated:2013-05-29 14:19( chinadaily.com.cn)
The Pingyao county tourism bureau joined the industry and commerce, price control, urban management and public security bureaus, on May 23, to issue a warning that all illegal tourist attractions in the county would have to close within three days.
The county government announced that it would deal with illegal attractions, such as the Grand Courtyard of Huiqizhai, Erlang Temple, and Ma Family Grand Courtyard to protect tourists and that any site without a business license would have to close or face punishment. Even licensed sites will have to improve any substandard operations and employees, such as guides or battery car drivers will face punishment if they take visitors to illegal or unlicensed sights.
