Pingyao organizes colorful folk art activities during Spring Festival as well.

For instance, the lantern fair will be held on city walls, by streets and in the county's Yamun. Yamun will also hold a folk music show and lantern riddle competition.

Meanwhile, a memorial ceremony for Confucius will be on display in the Confucian Temple.

On the very day of the Lantern Festival, the local government will give a fantastic fireworks show, creating a unique scene in winter.
