A talent introduction promotion and policy interpretation conference for the Shanxi Entrepreneurship Park for Overseas Chinese Students was held in Taiyuan on Nov 15.

Representatives of the Shanxi Overseas Chinese Students and Experts Service Center, the Talent Introduction and Exchange Service Center of the Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone, and Tsinghua Technology & Innovation Holdings Tech Services Co attended the event.

The promotion is expected to further enhance the profile and influence of the Shanxi Entrepreneurship Park for Overseas Chinese Students, and encourage and attract outstanding returned overseas Chinese students to the Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone to innovate and start businesses.

With the two park areas of Tanghuai and Xuefu, complete services and an improvng incubation system, the 20,000-square-meter park is a hub for overseas returnees looking to innovate and start businesses in Shanxi.

It has attracted 294 overseas Chinese students returning from the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and Canada, who have founded 230 enterprises and accumulated 521 intellectual property rights, including 38 invention patents.

The park will establish an information database for returned overseas Chinese and entrepreneurs to facilitate direct contact between Shanxi enterprises and returnees, build an attractive policy incentive mechanism by helping returnees start their own businesses through funding, technology, management, and project equity participation, and promote the utilization and transformation of tech achievements.
