Shanxi's first online-offline industrial product procurement platform -- fsyuncia.com -- went into use on May 18, according to local officials in the province in North China.

They said the initiative is an e-commerce platform that integrates online transactions for industrial products and customer procurement management, helping clients achieve one-stop transparent and intelligent procurement and management. 

The industrial product categories operated by the platform involve more than 300,000 kinds of products and services in 25 categories -- such as hardware and building materials, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, steel, cast iron, security and labor protection.

The majority of industrial products, around 99 percent, are directly supplied by manufacturers and there are no middlemen.

Customers can receive goods within 24 hours after ordering online.
