Shanxi will take measures to comprehensively provide employment services and guidance for 220,000 local college graduates this year, according to Shanxi Provincial Education Department. 

The province will make renewed efforts in specific areas including online employment services and guidance, expansion of employment channels and targeted employment assistance. 

Employment departments at universities and colleges in the province will make full use of provincial employment platforms, college employment networks and social recruitment websites. 

These will be used to convey job information to graduates in a timely manner and jointly provide online employment services. 

Officials said employment procedures will be simplified with certification materials that currently are submitted by fax, scan, or photo now being processed online. 

Online open class platforms recognized by the Ministry of Education and the Shanxi Provincial Education Department -- and existing online teaching resources of universities -- will be used to carry out college student career planning and employment guidance. 

All colleges and universities will open hotlines for graduate employment and psychological counseling. 

Officials said Shanxi will implement grassroots employment programs, ensure the implementation of various policies targeting employment and encourage graduates to be engaged in entrepreneurship. 

Special attention will be also paid to graduates from poor families, graduates with physical disabilities. Officials said one-on-one assistance and targeted job promotions will be offered to them.
