The 2019 TIPark China Trip came to Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone in Shanxi province on Aug 17.

The event aimed to further enhance the attractiveness of Shanxi province and the demonstration zone to recruit top scientific and technological talent and professionals from home and abroad, promote cooperation and communications between the zone and technology companies, as well as integrate innovation professionals to help transform and upgrade local industries.

Founders and directors of overseas projects in 12 fields such as new materials, new energy, biomedicines and artificial intelligence -- from countries and regions including the United Kingdom, South Korea, Singapore and North America -- held roadshows and carried out business matchmaking with local investment agencies, financial institutions and directors of technological parks at the event.

To better commercialize high-tech projects in North America, especially in Canada, Taiyuan TIPark Management Co and Research and Development Frontiers Institute, based in Canada, signed an agreement on the day to jointly build a science and technology center.
