Shanxi province held a series of tourist events in Changzhi city on May 19 marking China Tourism Day, which fell on the same day. 

Thousands of visitors attended the opening ceremony for the tourist events. 

To attract more visitors, Changzhi city staged 15 themed events and initiated some 22 preferential measures targeting tourists on the China Tourism Day. 

Changzhi culture and tourism bureau also organized a series of art programs and intangible cultural heritage shows to offer more diverse choices for visitors.
