Dragon lantern ready to shine

Workers renovate the Chinese Dragon Lantern, a landmark of Fenhe River scenic area in Taiyuan, April 7. They substituted 8,000 LED lights for the former 3,700 incandescent lamps, which will save energy and provide a better quality of lighting. The cover of the dragon lantern has been changed into a new one made of durable satin materials. In addition, a water fountain will gush from the mouth of the dragon following reconstruction. The annual renovation project for the lantern is expected to be completed before May 1. [Photo/sxrb.com]
